Sweet Wormwood Powder (Artemisia Annua) I Biodynamic cultivation
Cultivated in the area of Kouses, in Botano’s biodynamic garden, sweet wormwood, also known as "Artemisia annua", "sweet Annie", "sweet sagewort", "qing hao", "annual mugwort", or "annual wormwood", is a traditional Chinese medicinal plant that has been utilized for over 5 millennia.
Because it contains unique compounds such as artemisinin that have antiviral, antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal effects, it has been used to naturally combat conditions such as malaria. It has also been shown to have cytotoxicity against cancer cells as well as the ability to treat fevers, inflammation, arthritis pain, or headaches.
The most extensively studied advantage of Artemisia annua in the treatment of malaria. The World Health Organization recommends artemisinin-based combination therapy for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria, generally in conjunction with other medications.
Artemisia Annua species have antiviral capabilities, primarily against herpes, the simple virus, and the dengue virus, as well as antimicrobial and antiparasitic characteristics (Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella enteritidis, Candida albicans).
Artemisia annua is also used in the treatment of other infections and illnesses, including leishmaniasis, HIV, Chagas disease, and African sleeping sickness.
According to some research, artemisia may be useful for alleviating osteoarthritis symptoms, particularly those affecting the knees and hips, due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
Other benefits of this plant extract include treating infections, fungus, inflammation, arthritic symptoms, and some types of cancer, whether taken orally or topically.
Finally, several nations have recently begun substantial studies to see whether Artemisia Annua may be utilized to treat COVID symptoms.
Recommended Dosage
◉ 1-3 teaspoons of loose tea (or 3g up to 3 times) daily. If more than one herbal mixture is consumed at the same period of time, reduce the amount of tea accordingly.
◉ When herbs are used for an extended period of time, it is suggested to consume a herbal remedy with a ratio of 3 to 1. For example:
- If you choose to take it for 3 weeks, have a one-week pause.
- If it is taken for a 30-day period, have a 10-day pause.
That does not apply to herbs and fruits that have a laxative effect.
Notes
